Jun 17, 2011 · From my two years of using S/MIME email, I’ve identified that there are two types of individuals who are using this feature: a) Government b) tech geeks. I can understand the lack of participation of S/MIME for general email usage as there are many hurdles to overcome to make S/MIME possible.

Since file is probably not shipped on iPhone, you could include it in your app bundle. There might be a library implementing file's functionality. Alternatively, you could trust the browser. Browsers send the MIME type they guessed somewhere in the HTTP headers. I know that I can easily grab the MIME type information in PHP.

If you disable the control then you can view the signed emails (not encrypted of course). Don't have this problem on Windows 7 with IE 11, only my Windows 10 loads. I am starting to get attachments that are enable S/MIME in email client on iPhone; When I look into my Profiles (General > Profiles) I see the comodo certificate as TRUSTED (1) as well as my private cert (2) . But when I look into the S/MIME settings from the email account on iPhone it is NOT TRUSTED (3). My emails got not signed / encrypted then. What am I doing wrong? I am lost.
