I bought the 4-port version (FVS114) due to issues with VPN over a Motorola SBG900 cable modem. The modem firewall could not be configured (by me anyway) to pass the various VPN IPsec protocols. The modem did pass VPN with the modem's firewall disabled (not a good thing in general), but the modem would only allow 1 VPN tunnel. I needed at least 2.
