Apr 27, 2017 · All Internet and phone services were restored as of 4pm MT for a significant number of Shaw customers across Western Canada impacted by a brief outage this afternoon. The outage began at 1:27pm MT today, as a result of a software failure during a routine upgrade to our network. We are further investigating the cause.
Nov 29, 2018 · It does appear to be that simple when looking at Shaw’s website, where prices remain as per usual in the lead up to the speed increase. The Internet 300 plan (which will automatically become 600 in the coming weeks) is available on a two-year plan for $55 the first six months and $105 per month the remaining 18 months. I previously had Shaw Direct when I lived in a rural county, but now have internet and Gateway television. There are 3 gaming computers in our house so I purchased a package that included the highest internet speed. I now see Shaw advertising a 600mgb internet speed to NEW customers for $65.00 per month on a two year contract. Shaw internet is a Canadian internet provider, and when having Shaw up in Banff and Canmore areas, the wifi coverage is great, and I can stay on Wifi almost 100% of the time. Their maintenance crew is very nice and polite and they are always willing to help.
